Katharina is involved in various projects of WUMAN. We would like to highlight her commitment as our head of fundraising. She is happy to tell you about her journey at WUMAN and give you some insight into volunteering for our network:
„Hi, I’m Katharina and I’m engaged in the fundraising activities at WUMANetzwerk. At WUMAN we aim to create a space where we build connections, share experiences and support each other.
So far, I’ve had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into diverse fields. I’ve been involved in event planning and moderation, as well as fundraising. I’ve had the privilege of moderating the Women in Data Science Conference in 2021 and 2022, and I’m excited to do it again in March 2023.
As a fundraiser, I work to build relationships with organizations that share our values and goals. Fundraising is crucial for WUMAN as a non-profit organization, as it allows us to financially recognize our speakers, develop new workshop formats, and establish a sustainable foundation.
Volunteering with WUMANetzwerk has been a journey of feminist community building and personal growth. If you’re curious and passionate about promoting gender equity in academia and beyond, we would love to have you join us. You’ll be warmly welcomed!“
